Scores Trapped as Building Under Construction Collapses Along Ngong Road

Scores of people have been trapped after a building under construction opposite Karen Community Church along Ngong Road collapsed, the Kenya Red Cross has confirmed.

The collapse on Saturday evening has triggered an emergency response at the scene as concerns grow over possible casualties.

According to the Kenya Red Cross, the emergency response teams have rescued three people who have been evacuated.

An unknown number of others are suspected to be trapped, with response teams currently conducting rescue operations at the site.

The incident comes less than a fortnight after another 12-storey building collapsed in Nairobi's South C estate, leading to the death of two people.
